International Coffee Day has been celebrated on 1st October every year since 2015. It celebrates the global coffee sector and supports coffee farmers. It also promotes fair trade, supports sustainable farming and raises awareness about the challenges faced by coffee growers.
This resource pack aims to inform students about coffee and the coffee trade, and introduces cultural aspects, as coffee is grown in many Spanish-speaking countries.
Each resource has a page of notes, information and an answer key for the teacher.
These resources will be most suitable for higher ability Key Stage 3 students (age 11-14) and for Key Stage 4 students (age 14-16). They can be used in class as part of a lesson, but would also be ideal for enrichment activities and language clubs.
